A close but bumpy shave with a few nicks on my tough area southwest of my mouth. First shave ever on this razor (for anyone), which was new and had no edge when I got it. Before I figured out what I was doing, I took some wash and some metal off the shank . The shave was acceptable and I am very proud of myself. I would like to get this razor very keen, though. I used the norton 4k/8k, a 1/0.5 pasted paddle, and my heirloom wide strop, which also got its first nick this morning.

Good shave (8pm update: it's now apparent that this was an outstanding shave). A few pinpricks on the corner of my mouth where I went the wrong direction on the first pass, but they disappeared with the cold water.
