    Tuesday

Joseph Elliot Wedge, Boots Cream, Vie Long, Alum, Jovan Musk

Just finished cleaning up and honing this one, a very good shave but I think I might be able to get the edge a bit keener.
I'll pop it back on the hones before the next shave.
    Regards
    Nic

I’ll be participating in a charity golf outing today and its going to be a scorcher with the high temperature in the low 90s. Thought I should try to cool down before I head out to the links.

SS/SC: Proraso “Sapone Da Barba” + Ingram = Superlather
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 “Super Badger”
    Razor: 5/8” Boker “Red Injun”
    Astringent: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
    ASB: Visal “Dopo Barba” gel

    Béa,
That razor (which is beautiful by the way) also seems to be a fossil. Maybe not 450M years old, but 200+ . I love it.

Amen Konstantinos. Nice shave, but sorry about the irritation.

BTW; What kind of badger hair is in the NF 2206? is that a new one from Peter?

    Birnando,
I love that Palmera of yours. She's a beauty. Nice software to complement the shave. Nicely done on this otherwise rainy day. Enjoy your stay inside and the honing. That's gotta be a lot of fun

Oooooops. Sorry for igniting an AD in you, LOL. It would be worthwhile trying their EdT. Their bath soaps (fougère) are excellent. One of my wife's favorites...and I tell you, we have a lot (I mean a lot) of bath soaps too.

    Wowww Oscar,
What a Grand find. Congratulations and kudos to your mother for not just chucking it out in the trash. Give her a proper honing and I am sure that she will deliver on demand.

Post Week of June 5 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 24mm Custom Shavemac, 2-band, D01 Badger
Maxterpiece: 11/16" C.V. Heljestrand #41, Near Wedge, Spike Point (w/ G10 Jade Ghost scales)
Strop: 45/60 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Blood Orange" Shave creme + Cella Crema de Barba Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber AS
    Cologne: Acca Kappa "Hibiscus" EdC
Results: This Helje 41 was rescaled by Max some time ago. Despite her small size, she is an exceptional shaver. Combined with the CarrieM and Cella as the über of the day, I had a fabulously close shave. A warm/cold water wash followed by the Floïd Amber sealed the deal. The AK Hibiscus put the finishing touches on this increadible shave. Ready to face the world again!!!

What a lovely blade Robert! Not to common with the Helje near wedges and Maxs work is impeckable. Very nice, indeed!!

    Good evening Gents!

    This afternoon's shave:
    Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Omega boar brush Model # 81052
Soap: Palmolive Shaving Soap Stick, tallow based.
Razor: W. Gregory & Son, All Right Hollow Ground, 5/8 hollow ground. Rounded square point, think perhaps it started life as a spike and got muted some along the way.
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Home blended Bay Rum
Notes: I love a good tallow based soap, and this reminds me of some shave sticks I stumbled upon some 25 years ago. I used them until the one shop that provided them closed for good. Nice memories, and a rich cushioning lather. This razor bears the inscription "All Right Hollow Ground". Judge for yourself. It feels like a wedge to me, it has little feedback and an authorative cut. What ever it should rightfully be called, a fine razor. What's more, I've managed to dial the edge in pretty much where I want it.
