Thanked: 1185
Prep: Morning PT, Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: Texas Shumate
Brush: Semogue 1305
Cream: TOBS Eton College
AS: Skin Bracer
Finish: British Sterling (Dax High and Tight for the stash)
Result: Catfish Belly Smooth! What a razor this old Shumate is. This was like shave #20 since it last touched a stone and with just a bit of stropping this thing was absolutely scary sharp. Some people can't abide the smell of TOBS Eton College but for me it's quite nice and delivers a very good shave.Last edited by 1OldGI; 06-11-2011 at 03:43 PM.

Week of June 5 SOTD - Saturday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 22mm New Forest 2211 Silvertip Badger Razor: 11/16" C-Mon "HF", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point Strop: 40/55 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather) Überlather: Proraso Shave Creme + Cella Creme de Barba Shave soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Proraso AS Cologne: Acca Kappa "Calycanthus" EdC Results: After Paul (aka, Str8Shooter) and Dunc's (aka, Dunc) C-Mon show down yesterday, I was tempted to use mine today. I coupled the blade with a Proraso/Cella über to maximize the experience. I was not disappointed. Every one of my senses was experiencing a heightened state of elation. It was that good. True Zen, super BBS and super smooth.

PS: Can't wait for the official inauguration
Thank you Paul...Hmmm, can't imagine why I would call you Sten (I must have "wrongly" read it in a post somewhere). My humblest apologies
Fantastic Monroe. This must be Arnold's brother, the "Beard Terminator". I am sure he will also be back, LOL
Beautiful composition and colors José
Thank you my friend
beautiful tribute Julian. Mark loved his 1912 (and all other things SE). He would have appreciated this.
Julian,
Wapis don't get their moment in the spotlight as much as they should. They are amazing shavers. Well done
Welcome to SOTD (and SRP) and +1 to the lather comment. It's the greater part of a great shave. Well done.
