Well done Birnando. I love that setup. Floris is one brand that doesn't seem to get a lot of love...Great stuff

The soap performed superbly, very fine products indeed! IMO!
Good to know buddy...Our significant other's opinion is just as important as ours.

T.,
Sorry to hear about the computer issues, but at least your shave was spectacular, especially with this piece of wonderful steel. Congrats on making up the frustration with this wonderful shave.

David,
Congratulations on this fantastic voyage with the Wilkinson...sorry for the tugging though, but nothing that cannot be rectified on the hones.

Veto,
There is a certain satisfaction that one gets from shaving with an instrument of his own honing. Congrats...Before you know it, your edges will be indistinguishable from that of the Boker's. Keep at it.

I am very disappointed as it is not cheap and it will likely go on the list for the inevitable den reduction sale that looms in my future. Otherwise, the Cattaraugus Cutlery blade gave me a very good shave as do most New York and Pennsylvania blades. It gives me great pleasure knowing that these vintage blades were made 60 to 75 miles away from here.
Nathan,
It's always a pleasure seeing your post, but I am sorry that it reflected your discontent with the Lavanda (never tried it myself)...At least the blade more than made up for the lack of acceptable lather...I can only imagine what the shave would have been with a great lather. next time brother, next time.

I got a BBS shave with no irritation after 3 passes. I wouldn't say she's perfect, but its my best effort yet with a wedge. I always assumed my beard would like wedges, but I think the more hollow the blade, the happier my skin it seems.
Wowww Tim,
What a nice score. Congrats buddy. I think she looks gorgeous. I am in love with Bangall...The one I got from max sold me on it (never really gave it a second look until I tried, then I was hooked). Congrats on the honing as well. As far as wedge vs hollow, I found that as technique improved, grind mattered less and less. I actually prefer hollows too, but enjoy a wedge once in awhile (especially on heavy growth days)

For the second time in as many nights, I used this razor. The shave was impeccable. The Nancy Boy Cucumber provides a nice aroma while shaving
Jeff,
Beautiful "lineup" of wonderful shave gear. Love the RW Damascus steel. +1 on Nancy Boy

DFS today. sorry I was late with the post but running around all day with life stuff! I'm still needing some more use with the Acca Kappa to see how I like it but the scent was different. Mossy addition to the La Toja.
Sten (ooops, I mean Paul),
Better late than never buddy. Great show today too with that Timor. AK reformulated this creme from tube to tub version and apparently the latter is significantly better in performance than the tube. I would love to hear your experiences with yours down the line. I have the tub version and love it. One of the best top 5 cremes out there for sure.
Gentlemen,
As always, I LOOOOOVE your posts
