08-27-2011, 02:06 PM #1Great going gents. What a way to end this wonderful week; with a BANG!!!
Paul,
You're bound to have a ton of fun...Enjoy and do let us know how it went
Ahhhh...I miss those "day offs". Enjoy it EA
How do you like the AdP brushes (e.g., silvertip quality, softness, backbone, etc...)?
Great pick from a nice collection Tom.
PS: Mr. Elephant is still KO? Check and make sure hes' not dead!, LOOOL
Nic,
I love this Kropp...well done on the edge.
I really like what Peter's brushes look like (I wish he made this "chunky" in a bigger size)
Great setup José...Don't sweat the no straight day...Better safe than sorry.
Looking good buddy, LOOOL. Hopefully, you'll change into something more comfortable when painting, LOOOL. Enjoy the chore. It is an arduous task, but the end result is rewarding.
Nice razor Angel.
First and foremost:
Happy 7th Birthday to your son Rune. Enjoy the double party. I am sure he's going to be in Heaven (and you dead tired)
Second:
I love that Stabil...she is a real beauty. I forget where you got this from (Joe?)
Absolutely stunning razor Mikael. Lovely choice of creme today too. I love CS Indian Sandalwood. It is one of my favorites. One of the BEST Sandalwood scents I know
Can't wait to see your masterpiece Grant
Congratulations Joe. Great score. I did see that one (but didn't bid...had my eyes on something else). Glad she went to a good home.Enjoy her in good health and have fun dialing her edge on the stones.

This Wostenholm was one of my first restores. I picked it up at the flea market and had my doubts about whether I could get it shave ready again:
But I had a great shave with her today! MdC might have even gotten a good shave from this razor before the restoration ")

Miserable day but bright ending.
Been miserable all day but was brightened up by a lovely shave this afternoon.
A few strokes on a balsa cro-ox and followed by a good stropping on my Scorcher Shell Horse strop (even though it's well used it still performs) gave a lovely smooth finish.
Hope everyone has a great weekend (and a peaceful bank holiday for us folks in the U.K.)

Wowww...BBS of 11. That must be something. I must learn the trick from you. My best edge from the Coti is a 9
Congrats GI...that blade deserves nothing less
What a nice restore Tim. Especially if it was your first. First class. Congrats
PS: I hope you guys are safe from the wrath of Irene
Ouuuchhh Yorkie,
Those clouds look very menacing indeed. But, congrats on at least salvaging an otherwise gloomy day with a great shave. Enjoy your holiday
Thank you buddy. Max did wonders with this one (and every other piece). I am going to suggest that this forum underwrites Max and take him IPO, listing him in NYSE, under the symbol of MAX. I would be a very rich man, LOOOOOOL.

Thanks Robert! I've had that blade sitting around for awhile now and I finally got around to making some scales for her. I used the broken original scales as a template for these. I just modified the base materials!
I'm in the middle of the state and all we got was wind and rain (still pretty amazing when you consider that I'm 3.5 hours from the coast!)
