My first Shave of the Day! (post-wise)
Prep: Shower, exfoliating face wash, hair conditioner (hadn't shaved for a few days)
Soap: Trumper's Eucris
Brush: Invisible Edge pure badger
Razor: Dovo Prima Steel
AS: Trumpers lime skinfood followed by Clinique post-shave soother
Cologne: None - a boring Friday night in for moi
Shave: Getting there - smoother than last but still room for improvement!
That was my first experience with Trumper's soap and I have to say I was pretty impressed, not that I have a huge amount to compare it to! I loved the scent of the Eucris, very clean and fresh. I think it might go well with my Taylor's Eton College cream to make an Uberlather, I'll perhaps try that next time!
I still had some bother when it came to the chin and the neck, but I think I'm still making progress. During the shave I was getting quite frustrated, but afterwards its actually alot smoother than I thought, so overall I'm pretty pleased with it!
Enjoy your weekend folks!

Locale:Mile High in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado! Music: Billy Vera & the Beaters - At This Moment prep: Hone and finish 10k/12k Balsa .5 / Diamond .25 100/100/40/40 Strop: Star 3" Big Daddy Chestnut 40/100 Brush: 5 fingers and a palm Uber: Rise "Baby Face" Shave Gel Razor: 6/8 Wade & Butcher "The Celebrated" Post: Alum Block + Cold Water + Old Spice Deodorant AS: None EDT: None Result:After a refresh on the hones, this W&B was more than perfect. It was so smooth I thought I ruined the blade. I couldn't feel any drag whatsoever. I had to feel where I had shaved to believe it had removed anything, and where it had shaved was smooth as glass. I had no time for prep, or post worries, so I came in, washed my face, gel'ed up and shaved. It came out amazing. Cold water all the way, and it felt great when I was done. I apparently did a fair to good job refreshing this edge.
Happy Shaves!!!!
Mike-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --
