    Razor:Utica Cutlery Co. Helma 88
    Brush:Jade and brass handled boar
    Soap:Omega
AS:Thayers Lavender followed by Clubman Original
Result:Haven't shaved since Saturday and the Helma performed remarkably.Mowed through the whiskers like a hot knife through butter. I had become so enamored with creams that I forgot how wonderful the Omega soap is. Great, easy to make lather that could have lasted for four or more passes.

    Razor: Mühle R101
    Strop: Elios
    Preshave: Anthony Logistics preshave oil
    Brush: Semogue LE 2009
    lather: Plisson bowl
    AS: Thayer's astringent
EdT: Jimmy Boyd, Agua de Bosque
Comments: Today I want to experience the radical sensations of a huge amount of lather and a very agressive razor. The 2009 LE is a factory of lather, always easy to get the best of a soap, and the Mühle R101 doesn't think about the beard, no fear, only a shave without mercy but close as a straight razor can do in 2 passes. The green and fresh scent of the "Agua de Bosque" are the fresh finish that I wanted today.

A nasty Upper Respiratory Infection kept me away from a razor for 6 days. The word "stubble" took on a whole new meaning. Only 1 way to plow that kind of field.

Glenn I am very sorry for your losses. I can empathize with you. I lost three people this past March who were very dear to me, one being my grandmother and one being another woman I called Mom.
Godspeed my friend and if you need anything, don't hesitate to call.

You, your family and the friends and family of your mentor are in my thoughts and prayers. Your Grandmother and Mentor will live on the your memories and those of everyone whose lives they enriched.

It's good to see you back here though, I hope SOTD can bring a little joy to your day, as your posts do to ours.
    Take care Brother.

For Glenn, I am sincerely sorry to hear of your loss, and my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you deal with these losses. Know that your virtual family here at SRP is with you, and if there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to call on us. While your loss is painful, know that those you held dear have now moved past pain. Never forget, but remember your life must go forward!

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird Custom Double
    Brush:TGN 24mm in Crimson Swirl
    Strop:SRD PIV
    Soap:MDC
    Razor: Grandfather's Lion 600
    After shave: Alt-Innsbrook
    EDT: Creed Original Vetiver

Result: I meant to shave last night and post...but I fell asleep. This mornings shave was a very enjoyable 2 pass shave. My Grandmother's funeral was today, and I thought it fitting to use my Grandfather's razor. The little box in the photo are my Grandfather's cuff links. I took my time with todays shave and was rewarded with a very smooth and relaxing shave. This morning's shave served as a reminder that it is ever so important to take joy in the little things in life and live in the moment. I always enjoy my shave, yet can become distracted by putting pressure on myself to strop perfectly, build the perfect lather, etc...it's not like the shave police are going to come arrest me...I guess I'm just the typical type A perfectionist Great shaves gentlemen, keep them coming!

I hope all of you that are feeling under the weather are feeling better!

    Glenn
