Herr Speick brought his new Mercedes from 210 kilometres per hour to 0 in a remarkably short distance as he pulled up at the workplace. Miss Body Shop Macca Root swooned. Musgo furrowed his brow, hissing under his breath that at least HE was ‘real’. Wade Butcher knew at once that he may not have Miss Macca Root all to himself today, and he may indeed have more to do with Speick than he liked.
Miss Macca Root failed to show up for the shave after her night out at a German night club with Speick who, though nearly 50, seemed little affected by the night of dancing and strong German beer. Wade showed off with an Across the Grain pass (or two). Speick assisted, possibly a little dehydrated after the night before. In the end Speick, Wade, Master Proraso and even Mrs Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar got together and got the job done.
Musgo swore that he will be in the game tomorrow, even if it WAS with that other German fellow ‘Mühle’. He said he wanted to state very strongly that he was ‘real’....It was noted that he looked a little green; with envy, perhaps?
Tomorrow: Mühle and Speick join forces.

You know, technically, one could pluck the tusks out of the elephants and they'd grow back; they're actually overgrown incisors. Heard that on a radio show about the illegal ivory trade the other day. Of course plucking them out is a little tricky, apparently it's easier just to kill the poor thing...

Result: Very smooth...I received my Nancy boy stuff (no comments guys...lol) yesterday evening and used it for this mornings shave. I have to say that the shaving cream really impressed me and lived up to it's hype. Not mounds of lather, but more of a thick peanut buttery feel that had a most unbelievable cushion. The scent is subtle which is great for work, and I wasn't impressed by it at first, but it's kinda growing on me as time goes on. The after shave gel was different in how it went on, I will have to use it some more, the jury is still out. Overall a really close smooth BBS shave and my skin feels really good after.

Great way to start a day. First when i got out of the shower i had a Red Head waiting for me. Fromm Red Head that is and the wonderful scent of Bay Rum. What could be better. Hmmm.... Well i could think of a few things.:nono::rofl2:

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. We had some water damage at the house and I've been tearing up and replacing flooring for the last week. I finally got a chance to have a decent shave this morning.
I'm off to a Victorian Rifleman Provincial Shoot this weekend so I broke out my Victorian Wade & Butcher. With about 4 days worth of growth I almost had a bbs shave in one pass! I haven't used this razor in a while and her heavy weight just sliced through my beard with no pressure applied from my end. I just let her "drop" down my face and I can't believe how well she shaved ") I'll be shooting this Martini Henry in a competition on Saturday.

This WB brothers sure got things right when they made their razors. Back to the shave. Today was the turn of the shoulderless in beautiful Silver Twill clothing. If there was an Academy Award for best dressed category, this one would sure be a top contender. The lather from this rather unassuming puck is truly top notch, "crème de la crème", and hard to match. To make things even more interesting in regards to the scent, I mixed in some of my favorite Al's cremes (cloves/orange/cinnamon). I took the time with this shave...~10 minute lather/prep and one smooth 1st pass later, 90% of the whiskers disappeared from my face. The XTG took care of the rest and the ATG was purely an academic exercise:y. But then again, why not?

Another full shave with a straight razor only! I used the first straight razor I ever used (one purchased from WhippedDog.com back in April). After using 6/8 razors all week, this was quite different. The blade seemed so small and light by comparison. My beard growth was fairly light because I did a quick one-pass with a Merkur HD loaded with a Derby before going out on a date with my wife last night. The razor did a fine job, even if it took a little longer because I had to shave in shorter strokes. The 9/16 provided a fine shave, but it simply does not have the heft that my two 6/8 razors have that enables them to simply mow down even the thickest growth I can muster with relative ease. A fine shave with a wonderful barbershop-scented finish provided by the newly acquired Master Topaz!
