Post Week of October 30 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Maxterpiece: 7/8" Geo. Wostenholm IXL "Celebrated", 1/2 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch (w/ Black G10 scales)
Honing (Refresh) regimen: 8 (light) laps on CrOx treated Premium IV Bridle leather
Strop: 0/45/30 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave "Pegasus III" Horse hide leather / Cordovan leather)
Soapreme: Al's Custom "Black Pepper/Cloves/Lavender" Shave Creme + Arko Stick Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave Balm: Al's "Spicy Orange" ASB
Cologne: Acca Kappa "Blue Lavender" EdT
Results: Time for the IXL to shine through on this beautiful post-Halloween Tuesday. Once again, I opted for the Arko today, but this time in combination with Al's Bomb creme. In contrast to yesterday, I used a little less Arko and the scent was much better but with equally über-amazing performance. I know Al's creme is the crème de la crème, but what I have come to really appreciate is Arko's performance. They should make this with better smelling essential oils. Beautifully BBS and satisfying shave.

    Have an ASTONISHING Tuesday gentlemen.

Comments: Yesterday I go fishing some trouts with my daughter, she catch her first more than 1kg trout, and she was happy as in her birthday. Great journey for us. Today I have honed and rescaling a Frederick Reynolds 6/8, thanks to Mr. gssixgun for his useful, formative, pleasant and a bit addictive videos, you are one of the treasures of youtube, thank you very much again Glen. Following the advices of Glen I have given a nice edge to this vintage blade and I have enjoyed a smooth and comfortable shave.

The leftover from last night's trick or treat. I had the cutest little buggers knock on my door. It's really priceless. Especially the very small children. They are so adorable and cute. This morning I got rewarded with a proraso wake up call. Followed up with Aqua Velva I was feeling as fresh and awake as can be. Great way to start the day. Enjoy your Tuesday gents.
Someone put this on the SRP Calendar - Max shaved twice in a week! He must have eaten a lot of candy to get those whiskers growing...

    Tuesday

    Razors: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Astra (2)
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Soap: Tabac
    A/S: Master Topaz

I was tired from staying up too late watching my beloved KC Chiefs beat the San Diego Chargers in overtime so I decided to make today a DE day. Put the Astra I used yesterday in my favorite DE razor and had a near BBS shave in three passes. Topped off the shave with the Master Topaz and my Tuesday was off to a good, if sleepy, start.
