Result: | Today's shave was a lot better than yesterdays. The lessons I learned, plus the input from my good friends here, got me a really nice, clean, smooth shave!!!! It was NO STING off the alum today, and I got an exceptional DFS. Both blades were much smoother today, and the edges were OBVIOUSLY sharper. My jawline got a rather nasty cut, pics attached. I was stretching and just placed the edge wrong and she went straight in. Bled like the devil. Thanks to Alum it didn't last too long, but I'm gonna have fun shaving over that area for a while!! The right earlobe suffered a nick as well. Dang sharp blades!!!! But, I am really gratified that I have a 80% success ratio since starting this months challenge. The only razor that has failed me so far has been a stubborn timor razor. Both my spikes, plus I did another Ontario Cutlery 6/8's today as well, that has an incredible edge on it as well. Took arm hair off an inch above the skin (exageration for effect!). As you can see in the second pic, my skin is pretty well trashed from yesterday's roughness. I can't stop, help me obi-wan... |
