Thanks, Paul. You're kind.
Obie,
Beste Genesungswünsche!

Wednesday
Used the Burrell Top Flight this morning. I love the SOUND this razor makes; very satisfying. I’ve been eyeing a nice little wedge last night that’s for sale, I hope I can get it and it stays put until I can get it; I haven’t got a wedge yet and this one has a ridiculously long tail that is SO stupidly cool; I couldn’t sleep last night thinking about it! I’m not sure I’d know how to sharpen it but I’m sure I could learn.
The Burrell was sharpened same as the last two (Norton 8k, 20 w/slurry, 20 wo/slurry; last 10 really light, 20 Shapton 16k). Very smooth result, did a bit of ATG on the neck. The C O Bigalow was a bit indolent this morning, it wasn’t really paying attention and ended up thin-ish. I hope it does better next time. Tomorrow might be Arko time (2nd time only), but this time I’ll try rubbing the brush on the stick rather than the stick on my face; just to see how that goes. This SR shaving thing is just one long experiment, isn’t it?
Oh, tightened the scales on the Burrell last night by tapping the pin with a hammer very lightly for many, many taps. They’re nice and tight now. If I’m not careful I’ll turn in to a handyman. Might be handy, as my car continues to make SUCH a loud and disturbing noise that even Pearl Jam and System of a Down are having a hard time drowning it out; worse thing is the knocking on the floor of the car is pretty hard to ignore, too. I hate cars, need a horse, but a FAST one, with a headphone input jack and a stubby holder (non Australians may need to Google stubby+beer)...
PS, I can't remember off the top of my head which of you guys gave me the inspiration for close up razor shots but thanks anyway...

Honed this razor up on sunday, and what a fantastic shave it delivered, somehow I knew even though as with all my razors they all pass the HHT off the last hone and strop, something told me this would be a fine shaver, and she did not disapoint.

The nice thing about starting late in the morning is that I have time for an unhurried shave. :)
I wonder how many of the moch3 users are thinking "Wow, that was an excellent smooth shave" on their way to work.

Still a pretty comfortable edge, giving a nice and close shave.
