Ok so round 2 with Bill's razors. I can say this is some hard steel. Stif grind as with most Western razors. 2 passes delieverd a wonderful smooth close shave with no irritation.

Prep: Hot Shower / Very Hot Water Soak /Rise baby face shave gel Razor: 5/8 Dame, Stoddard & Kendal "Hub" Hones: King 1k, Norton 4/8k, 300 laps CNat 12k, 10 Laps .25 CrOx Paddle, 100 Clean Felt, 300 Leather Brush: 24mm Silvertip Uber: Rise Baby Face Shave Gel, Cella AS: Alum Block & Mennen Skin Bracer Edc: Avon Signature for Men Result: Honed this razor again today, the CNat started to get results. 300 X's and 3 sets of 40 circles and an additional 100 more laps on the leather and it was a pretty good shave! I am starting to get the feel of the CNat as a finisher, and it is a great feeling to actually get a decent, smooth shave off one of my own edges. The alum told me it was closer than I'm used to, but no irritation. I did leave myself with a few weepers and a couple of flat out nicks, but that is my technique getting sloppy, not the edge I was using. I'm going to work on a couple more edges before bedtime.
No pic today, to busy on the hones again. Starting to really have some fun now!!!!!

It's a nice straight this one, made somewhere between pre Berlin wall fall and after WW2.
