To take my focus off things ,if only for a bit I grabbed a Temperite that I had never honed and took it to the stones. With my dad (who did not use a straight but was proud that I had taken to it) looking over my shoulder I attained the velvet squeegee edge that some of us have experienced. This was the most satisfying moment in my straight razor history and it resulted in a Kick ass BBS smooth shave! I wont be shaving again till the funeral and I think I wil use the same razor. And so gentelmen I give you the the Jeffrey Jones memorial Hone & shave...

My joy at my son's accomplishment is tempered by the sorrow you feel at the loss of your dearly beloved father.

    Stay positive and take care.

Omega, So sorry to hear that brother! You will be in our thoughts and prayers till your ordeal is over!

Both my folks are still with us, but very, very old now. Neither is in great health and I expect we could get a call any day. Dad has a bad heart and mom has emphysema. Both in their 80's.

It's a tough part of reality that we must lose them someday, but I still dread that day.

God bless you brother! Thanks for sharing with us..
