THURSDAY:
hot shower
hair conditioner on face in shower
savile row 208
5/8 Paulatis - solingen - needs a touch up hone(which i did afterwards)
SCS - Orange Sorbet
wet splash
Thayers na Rose Witch hazel
SCS - Savory Rose AS
i took my Wade n Butcher 7/8 hollow out of rotation and added in my 5/8 roundpoint Solingen by A. Paulatis. very nice razor but becuase it had been out of rotation for a couple weeks it needed a touch up honing which i discovered during the shave. SCS - Orange Sorbet, i am reserving judgement until i shave with it again as i was quite unhappy with its performance. SCS- Savory Rose AS ... amazing stuff! slight alcohol burn while applying but it took away all the tightness, burning and left my face smelling and feeling fantastic. im not a big AS user but this is a product im going to start using. my face really feels great now.

Friday
Vulfix lavender cream
DOVO 5/8 88 Fritz Bracht worked back
Alum block
Old Spice A/S
I haven't used any of my 5/8 razors in several weeks now, this one has been waiting for a test shave since it was last honed so I decided to give it a go. It gave me a very nice and comfortable shave - guess I need to think about the smaller blades more often.
Am I the only one here who uses the Vulfix shaving creams? I love the stuff.

Thanked: 346Fri:
5/8 Friodur along with the usual sundries. I haven't used this one in a few weeks, and discovered that it had somehow lost its edge. Gave it a few quick swipes on the paddle and finished the shave. Decent shave, but not great. I'll give it a proper refresh tonight.

Thanked: 346Outstanding shave with the 6/8 Wacker stippleback. This seems to be a combination of improving technique, as well as the boron carbide strop putting a particularly good edge on this razor (both sharp and strong edge).
