Franz & Sibbald 13/16 in custom acrylics / 24mm silvertip / Cella / Minotaur AS Balm / Stetson
Today's shave was a mixed blessing, I honed 2 razors yesterday, a 4/8 Silver Steel Wedge and this 1/2 hollow Franz & Sibbald. The wedge went back into the hone me again pile, while the F&S gave a fantastic shave. This blade has a wicked left twist to the blade, which made it a challenge to hone, but I managed a great edge. Smooth and sharp. A great result for one, not so much for the other. I finished my face after a single stroke with the wedge with the 1/2 hollow. I already have bumps from just the single strip of the wedge. The rest is CBS!!! 3 passes to bliss!
Enjoy the day!!

Thanked: 146Friday, Finally!
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: Proraso SS/ Salter Vetiver SC/ 5 drops Glycerin
Razor: Brummel #18, 11/16 square point
Post: Proraso AS, Nivea Lotion unscented
Result: Wasn't feeling good and went to bed early last night. Woke up this morning wanting something different but comfortable in the way of a shave. Went with the Brummel, which was my first razor. And a "Spring Uber" Proraso is sorta green smelling and the vetiver is rather earthy and dries down to a woody note. Got an unbelievable close and comfortable shave to start the last day of the week. Have a Great weekend Brothers!
Congrats on the honing Carl.
Bill. I officially hate you! That razor is gorgeous!
Have a Great Friday Gents!

04-13-2012, 11:41 AM #9Another day, another shave
Today was something really special.
The C-Mon-Filarmonica in 8/8 is as good as it is rare. I've only ever seen one more of it, and that was much smaler in size.
And to match that, I used a recent acquisition, the much fabeled Manchurian badger brush from Simpson. This model is called Langness, quite fitting for me as a Norwegian. I have been to a place up here called that.
And quite the brush it was, right up there with my HMW and my 2 band Polo.
The cream was a complimentary gift that came with the brush. Vulfix Original, Old English Rose. Not bad, not bad at all
I'm so ready for the weekend, sporting a glass-smooth chin
