Sun April 8th - Sat April 14th
Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
Razor: Dovo Bergischer Löwe
Brush: Thäter
Cream: Proraso
Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
ASB: Aqua Velva
EDT: Aramis
Today was a very short and quick shave for me. To much going on around the house. Whipped up some proraso which always explodes in gallons of lather and gives me an incredible slick shave. Went through my 3 passes with a bit more speed and still managed to get an awesome clean shave. The Aqua Velva Ice balm is delightful and what's not to love about Aramis. Definitely a combo I'd use again. Very refreshing.
Enjoy the new week and Happy Easter to all.

My first love
Today I started with a great shave while the family was still asleep.
This razor, the Bergischer Löwe by Dovo, was my very first straight, and it will never leave my rotation
A delightful little razor who sings quite loud when mowing them whiskers down.
Some Penhaligon's Opus 1870 cream, ASB and EdT to complete the experience.
The brush today, also my very first, was the Merkur Futur Silver Tip
Enjoy your day Gents

Thanked: 1072Easter Sunday
Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: FS Fine Badger
Cream: Tabac
Razor: Invicta Coronett 6/8
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel
Balm: Nivea Replenishing
A/S: Aqua Velva Ice Blue
We took advantage of a beautiful day here in Coffs and spent a few hours on the beach this afternoon.
After that though I've been feeling very tired & lazy, and tonights shave almost did'n't happen.
I managed to summon the energy for a quick one pass shave though, and a great pass it was too.
This combination performed so well it would have definitely been a 2 pass BBS if i had have continued.
Hope your all enjoying the Easter Weekend.
Thanks for the great posts and pics boys, all stunning razors and photos already this week

Easter Sunday
Razor: 4/8 Weyer's Special
Brush: Men-U Boar
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum Sage & Cedar
Toner: Booster Mosswood
A/S: Polo
I haven't posted a SOTD in awhile (I get too busy then stop doing it). But I just HAD to today. In the box of Easter goodies my parents sent to my kids, my Mom sent one of my Grandpa's straight razors! It was still very sharp even though it hadn't been used in well more than 40 years (he died when I was 2 in 1972 and hadn't used a straight since his health started to decline in the 50's--when he got the 54 SuperSpeed I started DE shaving with) and after a little touch up on the barber's hone gave me a fine shave this morning!
Closeup of just the razor. I know nothing about the razor other than it has a Geo. H. Weyer St. Joseph, MO on the one side of the tang and Weyer's Special on the other. It also has Weyer's Special pressed into on side of the scales.
