Happy Easter...I must improve my photo skills to keep up with the talented folks here.

    Easter Sunday Shave

Prep: 18 km run around Kitsilano and UBC
    Hot shower

    King Midas 5/8 round point
24mm Golden Nib Finest Badger in a no- name rubber handle
    Col. Conk Lime soap
    Thayers
    Pinaud Lime Musk
    Nivea ASB
    L'Occitane Vetyver eau de Toilette.

very Nice shave, except the King razor could use a quick touch up on the home, I think... A bit of tugging this morning, but it's a nice blade.

Enjoy the rest of this holiday Sunday.

    Easter Sunday

    Razor: 4/8 Weyer's Special
    Brush: Men-U Boar
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum Sage & Cedar
    Toner: Booster Mosswood
    A/S: Polo

I haven't posted a SOTD in awhile (I get too busy then stop doing it). But I just HAD to today. In the box of Easter goodies my parents sent to my kids, my Mom sent one of my Grandpa's straight razors! It was still very sharp even though it hadn't been used in well more than 40 years (he died when I was 2 in 1972 and hadn't used a straight since his health started to decline in the 50's--when he got the 54 SuperSpeed I started DE shaving with) and after a little touch up on the barber's hone gave me a fine shave this morning!

Closeup of just the razor. I know nothing about the razor other than it has a Geo. H. Weyer St. Joseph, MO on the one side of the tang and Weyer's Special on the other. It also has Weyer's Special pressed into on side of the scales.

    Default Monday morning

    Snow!
I thought spring was upon us, but today it's snowing outside and the temperature has dropped below freezing again..
Nothing to do about that, a warm shower and a good shave helps the mood

This Puma Gold did the job, along with some superb lather from the Castle Forbes Lavender cream.
That cream paired with a Plisson HMW makes some extraordinary suds
All in all, a wonderful shave today!
