Since I'm not a celeb, I'll probably just stick with names that are universal between Slavic/Anglo/Latino cultures, but this should tell you how much I like this abrasive powder. Might be something you'd wanna check out AFTER you really develop your honing skills on the Swaty and test your whole rotation a few times around. Heard great things about those stones and that will probably be my next experiment.

Ilija, I can't believe you want me to postpone the oxide for more than a year (possibly 2, as I lately shave only once every 5-7 days, and my rotation is not that small... unless I sell something, which I guess I should)

    Cheers

It's all about the learning experience even if it takes a bit of time. The main quality of a straight-edge shaver is his patience. Or you could step up the tempo of your shaving

    Hot Towel
    Vulfix 2234
    Mamabear's Masculine Musk soap
    Fritz Bracht Dovo Inox 6/8
    Alum block
    Pinaud Bay Rum A/S

First shave with this NOS razor, I loved the stiffness of the blade and the quality of the edge I was able to get on it. Lots of faceturbation going on today.

    Default 8/8 W&B Barber's Use 2nd try

The first time this razor got ~9 out of 10 and while nice did not enter the circle of my select few. But I recognized the potential and like it anyway so it got some hone love.

I don't even know how many days w/o shaving
    Hot shower
    olive oil soap
    BBW conditioner
    L'Occitane CADE soap
    Burma Shave brush
    Large Moss scuttle
    Tony Miller 3'' strop
    The 8/8 W&B
    Alum block
    ice cube
    Lucky Tiger AS Skin toner
    L'Occitane CADE AS Balm

Very interesting feel this time from the razor. Mowed the growth very easily, much sharper than before, but did not feel very smooth, for some reason, as some other razors I have tried (such as 8/8 Fili). Nevertheless, 2 passes, no irritation / cuts and a great shave. Not BBS, which I never strive for anyway, just good and comfortable.

My lather had a bit too much water (not thin really, but not as I would prefer as I accidentally splashed some more water in the bowl and had to work extra to aerate it). I wonder if the strange lack of smoothness could have come from this?

This time I gave it 9+ and it is IN! If I can improve the smoothness it may go even up to 10.

    Cheers
