Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Custom 28mm silvertip in wood and horn
Soap: Martin de Candre Le Domino
Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: 5/8 Spike, Union Cutlery, hollow spike point, in horn scales
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Leather chypre home made splash
Notes: Lovely shave, 2-pass BBS, brilliant feeling. Ditched the goatee for more shaving space, but it will probably grow back if I know myself at all. Lovely sunny day here today, brought out the bbq.
Todays step-by-step menue:
honey mustard roasted pork
1.5 tbs paprika powder / 1 tbs cumin powder / 1 tbs garlic powder / 1 ts dry mustard / 1 ts chili powder. Mix, rub into meat.
Grill meat till 65c/150f, indirect heat. Let rest for 15 mins, then slice and pour over liberally with Honey mustard glaze: 2 tbs honey, 1-1.5 tbs mustard. Dijon mustard is great.
Tomato salad: good splash of olive oil, 1 tbs butter, freshly ground black pepper, thyme, rosemary, couple of garlic cloves sliced very very thinly so they dissolve in cooking. Cook gently for a couple minutes so the garlic dissolves and the herbs infuse the oil. Slice cherry tomatos in half, add and cook for a couple more minutes. Remove from heat, add a nice sprinkle of maldon salt and a good dollop of basil leaves.
Some refried beans and a stout is nice on the side.
Come on over guys, there's plenty to go around

I sing the body electric...
Prep: Long, hot shower...
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Razor: GEM Jr.
Blades: GEM Super Stainless
Brush: Semogue 830
Soap: Pre de Provence
Balm: BS Maca Root
I went hunting for a wedge type razor yesterday since I am not having luck otherwise. Don't you hate being out bidden, sniped or turn around and find a razor has already been sold in the classifieds? Of course, I am po' so I have a budget. Anyway, I did not find what I was looking for in the antique mall. Rather than going home empty handed I did purchase the GEM Jr. Figured I would give it a whirl. I am sure glad I did. What a great shave this morning. Not only did the razor perform great; the PDP keeps getting better and better. Wonder if it needs a breaking in period? I think I will go ahead and shell out the dough for the PDP balm.

Pesa, welcome to the brotherhood! You've introduced yourself to the crowd in fine fashion!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
