First, Robert, good to see you back!!!! Been too long!!

I was not feeling well today so I left work early. I arrived home around 10ish and took a nap, shower and shave which made me feel a bit better but I'm still not myself.

I have not used my John Engstrom razors in quite some time. The one I chose gave a buttery smooth shave as it removed the Castle Forbes and my whiskers. Like Bill, been a while since I got a nick. I got a small nick on my chin today on the second pass but the shave was so nice, I did a third anyway. Even with the nick, great shave. Now I have to cook.....boiled eggs!!

Enjoy the rest of the day

    Warm shower, Stephan's, Warm Oil
    Dirty bird Scuttle
    Castle Forbes Shave Cream
    New Forest Brush
John Engstrom Frame Back in Ivory
    SRD P1 Strop
    Razorock Aluminum
    Thayer's Cucumber Witch Hazel
    Vaseline for men

    Jeff,

Hope you get feeling better. And remember, there's not need to imitate me on things like shaving cuts!

I'll be fine. I am happy since I did not have to go to Memphis, the weather caused my flight to be cancelled. They say imitation is the best form of flattery. This one I'll try to avoid.

    DFriedl,

Better keep that nice looking Kropp under lock and key, or I might be tempted to swipe it.

MWF is more than I expected. I didn't realize it was so fragrant. Seems like lots of floral notes in there. And the texture, of course, is delightful.

This big W+B blade rings distinctly different on the strop than any other in my collection. It actually sounds like a sword being unsheathed, especially when worked on the linen side. Very musical. Very satisfying. (I think I may need to acquire another.)

Paired with MWF, it yielded a complete BBS reduction in three wonderful passes. More than a DFS, it was exquisite!

    Cheers!

+1...MWF is one of favorite soaps. It is pretty floral and clean smelling.

Ha, thanks. It has a little more character than what showed in the pic, but I like it. Now what to use for a vaction shave today?... Ah, I know:

Razors: matching 4/8 F.A. Clauberg Tonsorial Gems
    Prep: Bald Frog Eucalyptus Balm
    Brush: Vie Long horse
    Soap: Bald Frog Chocolate Espresso
    A/S: witch hazel, Joop Homme
    Result: A great shave

I took the kids for a nature hike today. They were a little too loud to see much wildlife, but it was a beatiful day!
