Wed, Aug 22
Sat, Aug 25
Pre: Hot Shower, 10 Linen, 15 Leather
Razor: Hart 6/8" Square Tip w/ Rosewood Scales
Brush: Thiers-Issard Super Badger w/ Black Horn Handle
Scuttle: Dirty Bird Brush Scuttle
Soap: Classic Brand Bay Rum
Post: Cold water and Alum
Aftershave: Proraso White
Today I am going to a wedding and I didn't want to tempt fate with trying out multiple passes. I think next Saturday I might start up multiple passes. Still working on this cake of Classic Brand soap so I can start up a new soap.
Result: I think I am getting as close as I can with only one pass. Neck irritation is staying at a minimum.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

08-25-2012, 02:53 PM #196Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable with Wilkinson blades
Brush: Jade handled boar
Soap: Mama Bear's Lilac Ice
AS: Thayers Rose followed by Clubman
Result: Fantastic! Set the adjustable to seven and got three easy passes to BBS. The Lilac Ice was especially chilly this morning and I barely felt any sting from the Clubman. The cufflinks are Anson gold tone and will be worn today while at a wedding.

Back in my garden !
This time with a WB, that has been well abused (I can only read "manufactred by..."), I have rescaled it with french horn scales from the XIX century (original scales were homemade and ugly)
Result : great shave (WB is a reliable brand for that !)
A bientôt

He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
