The edge on this razor is just incredible. I've used it 4 times and I think this evening was one of the best shaves I've had. The edge is just buttery smooth. I cannot say enough for this razor.

    Default Wednesday madness

Amazingly, I got to shave 3 days in a row!!!

Prep: Hot Shower, Rise Baby Face Shave Gel Rubbed in
    Razor: Genco Henry's XX 6/8
Brush: 24mm Silvertip in Custom Honey Locust grip
Soap: RazoRock Artisan Mughetto de Bologna (or something like that!!)
Post: Lucky Tiger Witch Hazel Splash, Alum
    AS: none
    EdC: Black Leather

Smell good, feel good, look better!!

This razor always delivers. It's very special to me, as it is one of my first restorations over a year ago, and looks and shaves as good today as it did then. Very close, very smooth and extremely satisfying. An excellent shave today!

On the downside of this week gents!! C'mon weekend!!

Once again it has been a long while, this time it had also been a long while since a razor had found my face as well. Work has been hectic and being out in remote camp or dodgy motels (and early starts with late finishes) didn't inspire a need to shave.

But since I dragged my carcass back to "civilization" I figured the 3 week beard needed to go, and in two passes I nearly looked respectable.

The ERN 1166 did a fine job of the heavy work and the Spike handled the finishing touches. Still trying to find the feel with the little wedge but I do like the way it shaves.

Might have to relax now that the peaches are canned with a couple fingers of whiskey and some SOTD reading... Have a great week!

    Default Shave of Yesterday

No time to shave this morning, but here's my shave of yesterday.

Cream: Truefitt & Hill Unscented-which has a nice mild scent btw.
    Brush: Mastershake 3 wood custom
    Strop: SRP English Bridle
    Razor: Erusta 96
    AS: Clubman Pinaud

3 pass shave with a slight departure of technique that I only noticed with the application of CP. The sting was quite refreshing.
