Thumbs up Sun September 23rd - Sat September 29th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Wade and Butcher
    Brush: SRP 2011 LE
    Cream: GFT Sandalwood
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
ASB: AOS Sandalwood + 2 drops of Sandal
    EDC: Eliz@beth Arden Sandalwood
Size doesn't always matter. This small sized W&B performs just like his brothers. Mowed away those whiskers effortlessly. As you probably already noticed, Sandalwood was on the menu for today's SOTD. The invigorating scent is still lingering around the house. Love it.

Enjoy the last week of September!

    The Horror, The Horror

I’ve been laid up in bed with the most horrific Urinary Tract Infection since Thursday night. What a mortifying horrible vile thing it is. I’ll spare you the details. I felt well enough this morning to drag myself from my sweat soaked bed and shower and shave. The J H Hellberg was of course the razor I reached for, being my favourite at the moment. It and the Über of Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn Body shop Macca root and glycerine wiped away two days’ of growth effortlessly in one pass; I was too weak for the second pass. I then got the wife to drive me to the hospital, where I suffered further embarrassment by striking a female doctor. In the car after the visit the wife said “You need to learn to talk quieter, we could hear every word you said in there”.
I hate being sick. I lament a lot. I'm going to make a very bad old person...

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 2
Razor: Bengall by Cadmann & sons
    Soap: Provence Santé
AS: TOBS Victorian Lime + Tiger facial tonic
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

This razor's so good and I never expected that, really + I had to hone it three times to get it good - I guess it's maybe a case of "if you work hard with something you appreciate it more"-syndrome. Good luck Carl, being sick sucks!

    Razor: Tiger, 6/8 near wedge
    Soap: Castle Forbes Cedar
    Brush: Thater 28mm
    A/S balm Castle Forbes Cedar

    "Greek Army"

Solingen export wedge for Greece (did they make wedges mainly for export, I have others for The Middle East and the US?), great shaver. The SRD-sourced Thater is pure luxury and Castle Forbes needs no extra recommendation, BBS all round. Have a great Sunday!

I may be leaving myself open for some flack here, but Bon Jovi's Slippery When wet is such a cool album.
I just received this copy from ebay on Friday, and man its a trip back to the year I turned 13.
The shave was great too. This is only the second shave I've had with the Kropp since re-scaling and re-honing it.
The result was a 2 pass BBS, and it takes a pretty sweet edge to get me there in 2.
