It's turned cool here so I thought I would break out the AoS Sandalwood soap. AoS Sandalwood cream was the very first product I ever used (a Christmas gift last year) and I really liked it, so I purchased the soap. I used it once or twice but then it went in the back of the drawer. I just could never get it to lather well. It's been months since I've used it, it was much better than I remember (I think my lathering skills have improved dramatically over the past 10 months). I really enjoy the Boker. It's a great, capable shaver (and my second straight razor). The stainless blade holds a fantastic edge. Followed up a great two pass shave with some AoS Sandalwood Post Shave Balm. It has a great, masculine scent that matches the Gucci cologne nicely.
I hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

Razor: Kron Vest "Jaguar" 14 (15/16) Strop: Handmade felt&horsehide (20/60) Brush: Vulfix Grosvenor+Simpson superbadger lather: Tabula Rasa Herbs SC AS: Eau d'Émeraude EdT: Loewe pour Homme Comments: One month ago I visited a hairdresser, elivelimen, in San Sebastian (Basque country, North of Spain) but I couldn't have an haircut because he was too busy, but the barber gives me some samples of Tabula Rasa creams, that were being sold in his store. He trusted a lot this creams and, after some uses, I understand his opinion very well. They are easy to face lather, the later don't dry and the glide and protection are top quality. Today this features have been convenient, I've used a spanish razor, full hollow ground, very aggressive, that have not taken prisoners among the hairs of my beard,....All of them have been merciless eliminated :D . In contrast I have less feel the alcohol of the distilled "Émeraude" aftershave, not in the nose, it smells like brandy, fortunately for few seconds. I finish wearing a classical spanish cologne: Loewe pour Homme, a scent in the way of Floris Elite, but a bit fresher and "raw".

Razor: Dubl Duck 6/8 Square Point
Soap: C&E Sienna
Brush: AOS Fine Badger
A/S: C&E Sienna Aftershave Balm
Result: Things have changed in that I now prefer soaps over creams, and I'm not really sure why. This soap has become my favorite. I chose the Dubl Duck today, I think because I purchased another Dubl Duck to add to the rotation. Some vintage razors look good with some patina and what not. Dubl Ducks, IMHO, do not. So this new one (new to me) is going to take a little work to make it presentable, and I believe it is going to be an incredible looking razor when it is done, as far as razors go. Anyway, had a great shave, and now back to work. Have a happy 10-11-12 (every hundred years)

Received my SRP razor from Mr. Williams today. I immediately put it into service.
Hot Shower, Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers
Warm Oil
Dirty Bird 1.5
Custom badger by Tim
AOS Lavender shave Cream
Robert Williams SRP Razor #9
Razorock Aluminum
Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel
Vaseline For Men
I was very pleasantly suprised about the way the SRP razor felt in my hand. I don't have any razors with a long tail. This razor, with the finger notch and long tail was very comfortable to hold. It also gave a very nice shave.
Enjoy the evening.

Friday
I was wondering today (this evening) what to do for a photo, because everyone's are so creative lately, so I did the post card thing; which got me thinking, the thoughts which I've posted here...
The shave was not bad, but I had a bit of stubble on the lower left cheek by early afternoon. The cream was too watery; I might start using my badger brush again. I don't mind the boar brush I've been using lately, but the bristles seem to stick together a bit...
The Floïd was simply OK, I’m not sure I’d buy that again, it’s a bit ‘bathroomy’…
Razor: Wade and Butcher Special, 5/8 | Cream: Body Shop Macca Root | After Shave: Floïd

Life has been super hectic lately. I feel like I've become a bit disconnected. Today was a good opportunity to slow myself down and focus. So, I decided to break out a razor I haven't used often. This Joe Chandler is probably my most pronounced smiler. Sadly, it's starting to tug a bit, so probably needs some love on the hones. Despite that, fact, by taking it easy and focusing on technique I still got a great two+ pass CBS shave. Of course, the subpar edge was coaxed along to shaving nirvana by a great supporting cast. The Jabonman Haitian Vetiver really takes me to my happy place. The scent is incredible, the lather rich, and the afterfeel is simply amazing! The shave was rounded out with my Lucido, which gave nary a tingle today, and Profumum's Fumidus. This cologne is one that every vetiver loving man should try. It's like splashing your face with a mossy single malt spiked with rooty vetiver - pure man nirvana!
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
Scuttle: Georgetown Pottery G5
Brush: AOS Pure Badger
Soap: Mikes Natural Soap Lemongrass/ Eucalyptus
Razor: Fromm 'Redhead' #50, 11/16" round point
Post: Hot water rinse, cold water splash, Proraso AS
Finish: T&H West Indian Limes Balm
Result: I haven't used the MNS L/E in quite a while and I don't know why because it is an outstanding performer and I love the clean lemony scent. Coupled with the Fromm and finished by the Limes balm, I am feeling summery on one of the last warm days of the year here. 3 passes to BBS and off to the last day of work for the week!

Prep: Quick hot shower
Razor: 9/8 Wade & Butcher, The Celebrated, For Barbers Use
Brush: Semogue 610
Cream: AOS Sandalwood
A/S: Alum Block, AOS Sandalwood A/S Balm
Result: Some say use a badger brush with creams, save your boar brush for the soaps. Well, I say do what you want. So I used a Semogue 610 boar brush with the AOS sandalwood cream, and everything went just fine. More importantly, no deputy knocked on my door with an arrest warrant for the alleged boar with cream violation. Quick shave today, one pass, and off to work. Happy Friday to all. Hope you're amused by the goofy pick; I am in a goofy mood this morning, and yes, sometimes I can be a dork.
