Day 3 with this Rolls Razor blade and after yesterdays shave I decided to try make it more comfortable by doing some honing on a barbers hone after the Rolls Razor hone. So, did it work?
Not really. Any increase in comfort was negligible. I think the jump between the Rolls Razor hone and the barbers hone may have been too great. That being said it still gave me a nice shave and if all I had was the Rolls Razor hone I could get by with it. I'm just after a little more comfort.
Anyway, for tomorrow I'll try out a honing the blade on some lapping film and see if it gets more comfortable.Keith

I was happy that the guy who made the brush and bowl suggested zebra wood. I was after a wood with good contrast between the wood and the grain. They turned out better than I had hoped.
A Rolls is no more difficult to shave with than a double edge or single edge. You should give it a go.Keith
