Special day today, my oldest daughter is getting married next Saturday and today is her Wedding Shower. Last night the wife and I went out to celebrate her birthday and then slept in this morning. I was a bit hurried getting ready for the Wedding Shower, but nothing slows things down like a great shave. I love this old Sheffield wedge. This is only my second shave with it, but I really enjoy it. I rotate my "new" razors with my "vintage" razors. Today marks the start of my "vintage" rotation -- and I just LOVE my vintage blades! I hope all my friends have a wonderful and safe holiday week.
Roll Tide!

Good Evening.
Today's shave was mainly AOS with a hint of Mme Scodioli "Step Right Up".
Very Nice.
Monday
A new working week ‘workin for da man’ and all I can think of is tomorrow’s workout, buying climbing shoes and rock climbing on Saturday. The mornings shave was not very good. I spied the Arko on the shelf and thought I’d give it a go. After lathering my face (I wet the stick and rubbed my wet shave brush on the stick to make the lather; and then face lathered) I stropped. After stropping I looked in the mirror and at first thought I must have rubbed some of the cream off. Then I realised it had simply dissipated and all but disappeared. Not sure if it was just my lathering or the oils on my skin but I had to lather again and even then there was no cushion at all. I’ve used this shave stick only about three times since I’ve had it; I wouldn’t buy it again.

I liked yesterday's shave so much that I decided to do a re-run. Well, almost.
Have a nice day.
