A TALE OF TWO SISTERS
Hot shower prep
Razor: (2) Wapanieca 17mm French point ( No tang Stamp )
Soap: Stroker’s Find
Mug: Coffee
Brush: Taylor of Old Bond Street
Aftershock: none needed
Splash: Walgreen's NOS Bay Rum
A friend that got me to try Wapi’s let me use his as a check on my honing. They both performed admirably and I am Very close to BBS with no burn. The rescale is a definite plus! It really makes the razor more maneuverable. If I had to have one razor... a Wapi would be in serious contention for that honor. The Taylor brush and stand were an antique shop find for $9, The brush is not a good buy at retail! Sparse and scritchy upon my poor face! Good shave, all in all!

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Been a while since I last posted in the SOTD thread, and indeed I've been mostly shaving in the shower with a 1966 Gillette Slim adjustable but it was my birthday today so I decided to indulge myself and also test the camera on my new phone.
Razor: Unbranded shoulderless German, probably sold as s souvenir but it holds an edge which is hard to beat.
Soap: Nanny's Rasage Traditionnel, one of the the best soaps around and an artisan soap at that.
Brush: Simpson 57, a gift some time ago from a true gentleman.
Post:Alum then Pashana Original, it might be a cheap aftershave but its still my favourite.
No shaving related presents, I have far too much stuff already. However I did receive a hi-vis coat as I'm spending a lot of time walking down rural lanes in the dark and at dusk taking the dog from fields to have a run about. The downside is that it makes me look like a traffic cop, on the plus side I can have hours of fun standing at the side of the road pointing a hair drier at passing motorists.
My 10 year old daughter made me some fabulous chocolate cup cakes, I think 'll have one now.
Funny, well, I have had my head and other parts anointed with oil. Um, crap, you know this reminds me I need to get some of that MME Scodioli Aftershave. I liked the shave soap and you rave about it. So, yeah, then I can make the comparison. Or maybe we can meet in some transcendental plain of existence where we can swap out brains. Never mind, that sounds expensive. I should just buy the damn stuff.
