I touched up this razor last night on my brand new Naniwa 12k. I really like the way the stone feels and the edge was fantastic.
An awesome Sunday 2 pass shave.
Thanks for the great posts and pics boys & have a great week.

Started badly with a W&B near wedge that I have been trying to hone up. After 2 strokes it became apparent that I had not succeeded yet in getting a good edge on it. I hate honing this particular wedge, it may wind up a 3/8 by the time I'm done with it. Fat Boy to the rescue and what a great shave it gave me, as good as any straight. Love that Fat Boy and blade combo. All's well that ends well. Hope you have a better start.

Note: This was probably one of the best shavers I've had the privledge to try, EVER.
Talk about a whisker slayer! I love it for so many reasons.
First- It's a Greaves like my buddy Tom just said if a W.&B. is a Cadillac, Greave's are a Rolls Royce, and he aint lying.
Secondly- What a joy to shave with, cut like a demon.
Thirdly- What a head turner, this razor is a sight to behold & to just feel it, weighted perfectly.
Ok there all the plus's , now heres the big minus. "ITS NOT MINE" Its a test drive. Heres my I Love Lucy cry right now Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!:cry::cry:
Oh well no use crying over spilled whisker residue. Right?
You all have a very spectacular coming week gentlemen.

The GD needed a little TLC this morning. Instead of using my usual diamond strop...I pulled out the Fine Welsh Slate hone. 30 laps on that...followed by 50 on Latigo and 40 on Engilsh Bridle gave a very nice edge indeed. I had a very smooth and very very clean shave.

Shave test to-day! This had to be done by Christmas! These two are for a friend's daughter. A quarter hollow and a double-concave. Good work produced fine edges, She should find what she likes with them! They shaved wonderfully!
And Tarkus! Methinks the Greaves will stay in Philly! :D
Did the phone store and I-phone thing today with a pile of girls. It sucked....everyone is mad. Took all day long!
Ain't the Season a blast?
Good luck the next week. I am holding on to mine!

Sunday Shave and Haircut: As penance for the Friday morning canned goo debacle and out of respect for my elders (in this case a 105 year old razor), I decided to pull out this razor again and use accessories more fitting such a historic old shave tool. Three passes head and face, both catfish belly smooth!

Yesterday, road trip Eastward. Today: Dreary; to be brightened by a visit from Randy. The Shave: After finding, cleaning, and honing the razor yesterday, it gave a very pleasant shave. A hundred laps on water buffalo and the edge was to HHT-3+, Plenty good for a first shave. Since the razor was all but new at the bevel, I needed a very low shave angle to take best advantage of the edge. Every thing else played well with the newby and I was close shaven in two.
