    SUNDAY
Wishing you all a week of great shaves, and personal success! :-bd
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: Stroker’s Find
Mug: Coffee / soup cup lather bowl
    Brush: Home made 24mm Silvertip
    Razor: Feather RG
    Aftershock: alum block
    Splash: Home made Bay Rum

Today: A bright, beautiful, and warming 0ºC. The Shave...Great!
A gentleman offered to swap this razor for a D.E. razor I had, so I now have a Feather. The Feather RG (chromed brass) has enough weight to work well as a straight razor with no added pressure. The size of the head is proportional to a 5/8ths straight. Since the average straight shaver uses only the last two thirds of a blade the shorter Feather does not hinder. Shave angle is very important with this razor. The “Professional” blades are quite aggressive. Similar to either a “Fat Boy” on 9 or a 5/8ths just off the hones at ~10K. Would it be my every day shaver? No. Would it be a winner for short trips? Yes! Feather blades are at a reasonable cost for occasional use. Also, as with a good SE or DE, it should be disassembled and cleaned after use. It is altogether, in my opinion, a very well made product! The other players are my go to’s for a new razor trial experience.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    Richard,

    Sunday Shave and Haircut

Hot Shower, Ice Water Splash, 1908 Gillette Old Style Single Ring, VDH Boar, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Aqua Velva Classic, Pierre Cardin
Outstanding leisurely haircut and shave on Sunday afternoon. Sadly, it's back to work in the morning.

Indeed, my dream razor. The best Filarmonica I have ever seen, the EPBD with the translucent Blue scales.
I held back a bid on one a few weeks ago that would have won it, there's always another! Cheers
