Thanks for the great posts and pics fellas, some beautiful hardware on display already this week.

Every time I look at your posts I think: man he has an amazing collection.
I really enjoy your posts and have been meaning to mention it for a long time.
I know nothing about Wordsworth, and little about literature in general, but your comments brought a big smile to my face
Sounds like a great day, and a beautiful photo to go with it.

Good morning y'all! I saw the news reports of the blizzard that hit the folks in the Northeast, and I hope everyone who was in the middle if the blizzard managed to stay safe and warm.
This morning's SOTD was chosen by my wife. It's overcast and dreary here in South Texas, so she recommended sweet smelling stuff.

My goal with this shave was to do two passes, with one ear to ear horizontal sweep across the jawline from right to left (I've found that this horseshoe pass is necessary to clean up some whiskers that just don't seem to go away after a WTG and ATG pass.). At the end, I was to live with the results, not continue to rub and fuss looking for spots I missed. This allowed me to really concentrate on making complete, efficient passes. Worked great. The only spot I missed was under my nostril, right up in the corner, though it's mostly invisible. And I had to compropmise on one thing -- my upper lip. I still can't go ATG, so the pass after the WTG had to be a XTG. This was my most efficient, shortest shave yet.
Cheers,
Jack

Small nick, first in awhile. Not as good of a shaver as my other Elliot silver steel but not "bad" by any means. Still enjoying the Palmolive :)
Tuesday
- Razor: Jernbolaget Frameback, leather scales, forced patina using citrus juice
- Cream: Body Shop Macca Root
- Hair Tonic: Pashana Bay Rum
- Eau de Toilette: ‘Whisky’ by Evaflor
Nice shave with the Jernbolaget this morning. I now have a very nice edge on this razor. After two passes I was certainly GDS, ready for inspection. The Body Shop Macca Root lathers almost too easily. This has to be the cream for newbies who have trouble making a decent lather and want to concentrate on razor technique and be unhampered by a poor lather.

I kinda keep getting back to using TOBS Sandlewood soap this week. It was the first real soap I got after I found out about SRP, now more than three years ago. That was when we still got the ‘review’ section which encouraged me to buy it. I like it ever since!
When I stepped outside this morning and felt the freezing -2ºC air on my glowing face I got this super clean feeling skin rush.
Bliss!
