Walkin' Horse Strop
Diggin' the new strop. I went for about a month without a regular strop. I gave my latigo strop to a friend. I am glad that experiment ended. From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

Stropped the Filly extensively this time and had the feeling that it brought back the edge quite a bit. The lather proved too thick on the second pass with the ATG. Simply added water and problem solved. Slide and glide. BBS in two with Stan Getz and the Gilberto's in the background. Hot shower afterwards and a small comforting talk with my oldest girl (8). Her best friend in school may be going to a special school soon, as she has intellectual giftedness. She cried a bit and I felt her emotional pain. My parents moved to another city when I was 10 and I lost all my friends in one event. I told her to let her tears run if she so felt like and to not be too upset as she's still living close by and thus a play-date or a sleep-over is still quickly arranged. Even though my daily worries are much bigger, somehow they seemed to pale to the worries she has. Funny how life teaches us lessons of understanding and puts things in perspective...
