    Yes, they say they are tricky, but really I think it's just the hard Nordic steel; other than that for me it's the same as any other razor. My error was using the slurry; not sure why I did it really. I went the the drawer to get the honing gear and saw the little cleaning stone there and grabbed it. The slurry would have been OK if I'd done more laps after, maybe 20 or 30.

    Anyway, I now know I need some RED ink to use in my dip pen so I can write big bold RED letters in my honing journal warning my self of my self's stupidity and what DOESN'T work. First RED message should be limit the stout intake while honing, second will be don't do random things.

    A honing journal is a great idea, you know...
