Prep: Face lathered C.O. Bigelow with an AOS Fine Badger Brush
Razor: 6/8 Wheat Sheaf Cutlery Company
Strop: SRD Prem I
A/S: Wiped face with towel, Pinaud Clubman
Result: Excellent early morning shave. I can't believe I did not finish the Clubman. I tried, but I think I have one more splash to go; now off I go to work! Happy Friday to all.

12th April 2013
Pre : Hot water, Kiehl's facial fuel wash, Proraso pre-post cream green tub
Soap : Tabac
Brush : Turkish "No.6"
Razor/blade : Rolls Razor "Viscount"
Rescue setup : Gillette Superspeed flare tip razor, Personna blade
Post : Cold water, alum block, Nivea moisturising balm
Finish : BBS
Comments :
The Rolls Razor was an eBay purchase, bought mainly because of the intact hone in one lid. Sadly, the hone didn't survive its journey via "Postman Pat", or it was shattered by the eBay seller. There is a piece big enough to use, but it can't be used in the lid as it was originally meant to be; this makes honing the blade trickier than it would've been. The blade can be held whilst honing, but this is fiddly. Ah well.
The Superspeed was brought into action once I'd discovered the Rolls blade couldn't comfortably be used XTG.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...

The Day? At OºC snowed over night. The Shave? Good enough to brighten my day. My nose says the Cream and splash go together and there is no-one nearby to gainsay me! A very pleasant shave.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

The so called "CHINESE" razors were produced over a period of time by most of the major makers of Sheffield. I can find no real positive dating on them though. Probably the mid 80's when there were many immigrants to build the railroads in the USA
