Olive Oil Preshave, 1960 Fatboy @9, VDH Boar, Cella, Olive Oil, Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
Conclusion: Extra Virgin Olive Oil rocks. It's good for pre-shave, super lather and post-shave and yes, there is a palpable difference between EVOO and regular olive oil. If shaving dries out your skin I would strongly recommend olive oil in your prep and post routine. The older I get, the better I was

Absolutely true! Olive oil is very good for your skin and has an excellent emollient effect. Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil is the only one you should consider, especially when it is used as a condiment. And, yes, also for shaving and skin treatment. Extra virgin is the only one which can be considered as "sound" while the other ones are obtained with low quality techniques. Cold pressing and very fresh olives: this is one of the main quality factors in olive oil, although not the only one.

What a honor! I should say, what a double honor! Not only for the olive oil thing (which I hope you enjoyed it) but also because you shaved with one of my most wanted razors I am trying to add to my collection with no success so far! It is many years now I am trying to get a W&B for barber's use but I have never been successful in getting one.
Lucky you!
Many thanks for the dedication! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+
