    Gentlemen,

I apologize for disappearing during the second half of last week. Unfortunately, work took me away for a few days, but I am back for a very busy next several weeks! And I am kicking off this Independence Day week with a wonderful lavender explosion. MDC wiped away with the Manaslu before applying the Aromé 3 is an incredible exercise in luxury!

Prep: shower w/L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
    Brush: Thater
    Razor: Ralf Aust 5/8
    Post: Alum & Thayer's Tonic
    Balm: Trumper's Limes Skin Food

Still trying to figure out the Cade( I think that is what it is). I have not had consistent lathering with this soap so far. Post shave the Alum block kept skidding to a halt. Don't know if that was due to shave soap or residual shower oil. Weird. I am somewhere around 30 shaves into using a straight razor-enjoying it very much!

    Warm Shower Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Acca Kappa Almond Shave Cream
Custom Lignum Vitae Brush by Bill (Pixelfixed)
Razor by Grant, on loan from Rene
    Strop, 100 laps
    Razorock Aluminum
    Hot Towels
    Pinaud Clubman
    Vaseline for men

I was talking to Rene the other day about how I wanted to try a Kamisori type razor. I was not sure I wanted to own one before I tried. Rene was gracious enough to send me this razor which was made by Grant. I'm not sure who put the edge on it, Rene or Grant but it was very sharp. Gave a very comfortable shave. It is very light in your hand, very balanced but requires different angles than a regular straight. I had a very nice shave but the jury is still out on me obtaining one.
