Upload a picture of your razor and blades. And yeah the tungsten blades are expensive im guessing you bought the one from amazon. There is a guy on ebay selling Tungsten plus 7 pack for $10 i bought 2 pack. I have been shaving with injectors for a while but i also have a collection of Straights and a few DE razor with about 500 blades. Im sure you will like your injector i know i do. I have a couple injector razor ill take some pictures of my collection but i have a lot. If you have any question ill be glad to answer them to the best i can. If you end up liking the razor i could send you a few different blades i have so you can try them out without having to spend a fortune like me.

this is the injector i have been using for a week or two. it seems my DE gives a cleaner/closer shave than my injector....i'm trying to find an adjustable injector to see if that gives a cleaner shave....is that what you mostly use?

Thanked: 2I have been trying to get one but people on ebay are just crazy with the prices. I use a similar one to what you have and i have a longer handle one i like which seem to be a lot smoother and milder it depends on the blade too i have tried a lot of blades as you can see and some work better with one razor than others its just a matter of finding the right combo. I like the Schick plus platinum and vintage PAL hollow ground. The PAL blades are carbon steel and they rust too fast if not taken care of properly but still good shave. I love my Gillette slim adjustable with Super iridium too. try it out for a while it takes some getting used to. All in all nothing compares to a straight razor but that take some time to get good at but the rewards are worth the effort.

Thanked: 480It was only yesterday that injector bladed shavers were being tossed in the trash as... well.. "yesterdays news" Not worth the plastic they were made from. And it was just the day before that when you gave your dads old Gillette Fat Boy to your 5 year old to play with and didn't care that he used it as a shovel in the garden.
I will keep an eye out for my dads old razor, but I suspect it will have gone the way of my Spiderman comic books when my mom cleaned up.
