Default Is it possible to convert a rounded point into a barber's notch?

Recently I've been quite intrigued about the barber's notch, particularly because I've always had difficulties when it comes to the upper lip due to a small mole I have there.

So if I had a rounded carbon steel point, would it be possible to cut a notch into it?
I wouldn't do it, as I have no experience when it comes to modifying straights, but as of now, I'm just wondering if it's even possible. Or if it is possible, if it's a bad idea due to damaging the balance/ weight of the blade.

It is possible if the blade is wide enough. Contact gssixgun he just did one for me and it came out great!

Hmm, how wide is wide enough?

I've largely resorted to sticking with 5/8 because of how easy they are to manoeuvre.

Hmm, to be honest I don't remember how big mine was but im pretty sure mine was wider than that. Doesn't hurt to ask him if he can do it though.

Will do. Just need to recover from my recently acquired RAD first.

And also, just realised that I posted this in the completely wrong part of the forums. No idea how it even happened.
My apologies to the mod who moves this.
