Thanked: 24Is it possible to convert a rounded point into a barber's notch?
Recently I've been quite intrigued about the barber's notch, particularly because I've always had difficulties when it comes to the upper lip due to a small mole I have there.
So if I had a rounded carbon steel point, would it be possible to cut a notch into it?
I wouldn't do it, as I have no experience when it comes to modifying straights, but as of now, I'm just wondering if it's even possible. Or if it is possible, if it's a bad idea due to damaging the balance/ weight of the blade.

It is possible if the blade is wide enough. Contact gssixgun he just did one for me and it came out great!

Thanked: 24Hmm, how wide is wide enough?
I've largely resorted to sticking with 5/8 because of how easy they are to manoeuvre.

Hmm, to be honest I don't remember how big mine was but im pretty sure mine was wider than that. Doesn't hurt to ask him if he can do it though.
