Thanked: 0Muhle R89 - Edwin Jagger89L?
Are they the same razor? Someone said the heads were the same. I got the fever for another razor and was wanting to try the Muhle, but if they are the same. I have been reading that the Muhles are very well made razors. Is this true?

Thanked: 3226Can't comment on the heads being the same but I do have a Muhle R41 latest version. If all the other models are made like the R41 I would think they are well made. I wouldn't recommend the R41 as a beginners DE because it is an aggressive razor.

blueheeler,
Both Edwin Jagger and Muhle you mention are fine razors. The closed comb shave heads were designed jointly some years ago, but each manufacturer now produces its own shave head. You will not go wrong with either razor. For further information, please read my Conversation with Neil Jagger: Straight Razor Place - Obie's Conversations

I can't comment on the Muhle, but I have an Edwin Jagger DE89 and it is a great shaver.
