    Default British Slim Twist-Surprised

I received a British Gillette Slim Twist as part of a Christmas package. I shaved with it for the 2nd time today. I didn't know what to expect with the extremely light weight handle. I was pleasantly surprised! With the handle moving most of the weight to the head, it gives a very nice intuitive shave. I would compare it to a Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed. The grip and balance are good. I am using a Gillette Silver Blue in it. This may end up being my travel razor.

Interesting Gillette variant DE, looks to have the same head as the Gillette TTO Techs/ Super Speeds. Must be a mild pleasant shaver.

The British version of the 'Slim Twist' was called the Knack.

I have one -also received in a lot, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it shaved. It is on the mild side, but the shaves are really nice. Congrats on getting one of your own.

Actually, the U.S. version of the British Slim Twist was the Knack. Probably what you meant to say.

I just had my 4th shave with the Slim Twist and the Silver Blue. All four shaves have been very good: smooth and close. As I said, it compares in performance to a Super Speed Flare Tip to me.

I believe it will become a travel razor.

    Razor: British Gillette Slim Twist

    Gentlemen,
That is a fine razor. I have one in super condition. I also have the Knack and it, too, is in super condition. Both are fine shavers, although on the mild side. This one I am saving for one of my daughters, who has trimmed her choices among my DE razors to this one or the Edwin Jagger Plaza.

Whoops! I made a mistake - got my wires crossed.

Either way, it is a lovely razor. It isn't aggressive, but I find mine to be a very good shaver nonetheless.

Not to worry........my buds call that "having a Bob moment"!

It is mild. I enjoyed getting back to the Slim on 6.
