Default My very first DE shave!

Did my first shave tonight. Oh man I'm hooked! I just bought a generic DE and got some decent blades. I Didnt want to sink alot of money in until I tried it. I'm now ready to upgrade! Just one pass over my 3 day growth and the hair was GONE!! very smooth shave. Did my head too. NO BLOOD!!! I have a nice badger brush but went with generic soap. I just need to tweak a few things but I love it!!!!

Congratulations on your first DE shave. That's how I got started here--then moved on to my first straight razor.

Congrats and welcome! If your razor is working that well, I would suggest sticking with it for the time being, and upgrading your soap. I don't know what you mean by generic soap, but it doesn't sound good.
My advice is to find a Bath and Body Works in your area and buy a tube of C.O. Bigelow shaving cream. Put an almond sized dollop of that in your bowl and use that badger to do what it was made for.
If you can't find that, find a Rite Aid and get a tube of The Real Shave Co. shaving cream. Barring that, you can find Van der Hagen Deluxe soap at most Food Lion grocery stores, or again, Rite Aid.
