Thanked: 3225Wilkinson 7 day "Empire" razor AKA The Beast
Finally managed to hone up one blade from the 7 day set in the kit. That was an arduous task in itself the blade being so small even compared to a Rolls Razor blade. Glad that is done.
Did a 3 pass test shave and talk about an exfoliating experience even with the blade at it's least exposed position. The razor has an adjustment screw at the rear of the head to allow blade movement forward and backward to govern the amount of exposure. I suppose you could call it an adjustable SE razor. Because of the head design I found it to be one of if not the most awkward razors I have ever had the pleasure of using. For me it is a beast to hone blades for and a beast to actually use. All that said it did give a wicked close shave. It would probably be even better if I dialed in the blade a bit more and got used to the awkward head design more.
All told an interesting and unique shaving implement fully capable of giving a good shave.

Thanked: 3225Just a quick update for anyone contemplating using one of these. I did up another blade and it went quicker this time. Also blunted/rounded the corners of the blade at the bevel edges. I found with the first one that it would be awful easy to dig in a corner on your face if left unblunted. Used the second blade cranked out to full extension/blade exposure for today's SOTD and actually think it was easier than with the blade fully retracted. Strange but there it is.
