Gillette Platinum-6 Shaves
The Gillette Platinum blades are one of my favorites, also the most expensive that I use along with the Polsilvers at about $34/100.
Until recently I had not used one for more than 4 shaves. Today, I just finished my second round using the same blade for 6 shaves in my Gillette Red Tip Super Speed.
All 12 shaves were smooth, close, and nick free.

Used my red tip yesterday with a derby blade. Not a feather but still good shave.

Thanked: 8I never pushed a blade until, entering a competition on another forum, I used one blade for a full February.
I picked a Gillette 7 O'clock SS (Green) - I had just received a 100-pack and figured I'd push the limits. It definitely dropped off on sharpness after the first week but continued (with additional passes) to give me an acceptable shave for the entire month. I'm one that needs to shave daily and my 5 o'clock shadow hits its stride by noon (I don't go light on blades).
Though since diving into Straights - I've got >2yrs worth of DE blades that are waiting for me.

When i used DE Gillette Platinum and yellow were my favourite.
First-second shave platinum bit better , 3 shave yellow better. But gillette yellow is more economic"Consider well the seed that gave your birth: you were not made to lives as brutes, but to following virtue and knoweledge"

I used to use them in past. Expensive but shaving was always really smooth. In my opinion they're one of the best Gillette blades.
