What razors are these ?
First post on this forum, need help identifying these razors.
Got these two razors, no markings on any of them.
The white one looks like it have been painted, perhaps it was black as you can see some black paint shine though ?
Year of production and maker would be nice. Thank you.

No idea on the painted one. The second one has a head that reminds me of the Gillette Old Type. The handle on the second one does not look to be vintage Gillette. There is a very good chance that these are european produced razors. Many companies in europe made similar products to what was being sold by gillette. Have you found any stamps, makers marks, or patent numbers?
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

No stamps, makers marks or numbers on any of these two - there might be some on the painted one but I did not want to remove paint if it was supposed to be white.

Velkommen til SRP! Welcome to SRP!
Good to have a fellow norwegian among us! There are quite a few of us around here. I don't know about your razors, but the white one reminds me of a matador. Best of luck!

Thank you, I googled Matador razor and found out my second razor is a Swedish made Matador Razette or perhaps a Matador De Luxe.
One for sale on Tradera and some nice pictures on Badger&Blade forum.
Matador De Luxe review.
Looks just like mine but with markings.
Still have no id other the white razor, will continue looking.Last edited by GabV; 08-23-2014 at 01:09 PM. Reason: Typo

The first one you posted seems to me to be a german vintage DE. I have this one, marked "globus" from germany. The head looks different, but the handle...

They could also be made up from a couple of different razors, as far as i know the thread is pretty standard. I do like the handle - not sure about the white paint though
