Nice find of the day.
So I was cleaning out some stashed away moving boxes (it started to look like a storage unit) I stumbled on a shoe box which after opening contained a box of Gillette Platinum aka The Swedes. I did a small back-flip from joy since these are long gone from production and I have never been able to find any NOS for sale. Total bliss. My to go blades, since the Swedes went out of production, have been Polsilver stainless and 7 O'clock but this will be a nice change for a while.

Those were the best DE blades I ever shaved with. As sharp as the Feather but smooth as silk. Lucky find indeed.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Ain't that the truth. Besides the Swedes I get my best shaves from the Polsilver Stainless. Sharp and silky smooth. The best razor blade for my skin and beard type. God knows how many different brands I have tried. But as we know what works for one doesn't always work for someone else.

Kind of like Razorock soaps. They have had some real winners but seem to always discontinue them. They do keep coming out with more good stuff though
One tired old Marine- semper fi, god bless all vets

Or when they start reformulating a clearly good product. I can understand sometimes having to comply to new regulations but most of the time it doesn't even apply to it. They just reformulate probably to reduce production cost. Unfortunately this never translates to cheaper retail pricing but a lesser quality product.
