Thread: suggestions: mild to medium safety?

Thanks fellas. Itching to shave with this iconic razor!

I'm a bit late to this party, but I just bought an Edwin Jagger DE89Bl. At 59 years, I have never used a DE razor until tonight. I decided to do one or two of the easy swipes with a straight and then shaved 90% with the DE. I got a very comfortable shave with the Derby blades that came with it and it is about as close as a straight razor shave. So, although I am a total rookie with a DE, this one is a dream. Highly recommended (bearing in mind that this is a statistical sample of ONE and my only DE shave ever).

For a mild shave with a Vintage Razor you could try a Gillette Tech like mine they are readily available at a fair price and give a really nice shave. If you pair one with a Stainless handle it works well.
