Received 2 Gillettes DE razors
Last week i received 2 Gillette razors, a 1968 black handle Super Speed and 1960 Slim adjustable. 2 great razors it is now 2 more in my collection. I did start whit the Micro Touch One after i bought the Parker 98r, the Parker 99r, my father gave me the Super Speed who belong to my grand pa(i belived it's around end of the 40's debut 50's no date code). For me they are all great DE razors, the favorite of them all is the grand pa Super Speed i guest it's a sentimental value and more cause i get real comfortable shave whit it.

Thanked: 1184The sentimental, comfort sounds like a real winner. I don't know how I wound up with a few DE's most odd balls. I like your collection better.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 67Getting razors with a family connection is always great. Unfortunately, my Dad had discarded all his older razors by the time I learned about 'traditional wet-shaving'. He did find some 'vintage' DE blades kicking around at the bottom of a drawer, and I got a kick out of using those.

That is a nice looking collection. I just did three days with my 1964 Gillette Adj. and really enjoyed the shaves.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

I found an old Gillette blue tip at the thrift store awhile back and it quickly became my go to razor, sad to say, replacing my straights.
