This forum is so not good for rhetorical questions.
For example:
The Merkur 1904/41C is a very well made and affordable approximation of the most traditional of open combs - they have quite good reviews and a following; I liked mine a lot.
And Muehle sets, um, a very high bar with quality, looks and performance with the R41, a clever reinterpretation of the open comb razor.
