Thread: Bought a yard sale razor,any good?

Bought a "Valet, Auto strop ,model C razor,in the original metal box,with instruction booklet.it's it great shape,but I know nothing about it.Was it,it it any good?the box is black metal with blue velvet inside. What's it worth?

It is worth as much as someone Is willing to pay for it. We can't, don't and aren't allowed to provide valuations on the forum.

Look on ebay for completed sales of similar items.

Feather makes a blade for it and with a new blade, they shave fine.

I've got the identical AutoStrop, with the modern Feather blade is gives a great shave. I did also get some NOS blades that stropped up ok but weren't of the sharpness of the Feathers. Congratulations on a nice score
