    Default Mail Call - Gillette Z3 1954

    Hello all,

I picked up a Gillette Z3 1954 online. After a little MAAS, a 30 min diluted vinegar soak, a toothbrush scrub and a little more MAAS, she cleaned up nice. Not bad for a 61 year old razor. Can't wait to shave tonight.

I have the same razor except mine was made in 1962 my birth year. I acquired it at a yard sale while in high school. The same year I bought my very first razor a Gillette with a black handle it came in a plastic case and one blade. I bought it at the 7 11 mini market on a fall day. I had to have it for a date, my first one.

Any how I have used the razor you have for around 35 years now. I still use it for less aggressive shaving days. Sad to say my Merkur future has taken the lime lite of the Gillete.

I still love my DE shaving and razors....don't tell my SR friends on here.
