    Default Love and Marriage

    Gentlemen,

Here is togetherness represented by my razor and the dearly beloved's. Mine is the Mongoose and my wife's is the Gillette Flare Tip. As the song says: "Love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage . . ."

Very nice Obie, two classy razors, and your excellent book.

Shame, shame, shame. I thought the love theme in the novel would tie in nicely with the two razor set up. By the way, I found the dearly beloved's Super Speed at a flea market and then restored it to near perfection. My wife loves the razor, especially since she had used a Gillette way back when.

After months of fighting the good fight SWMBO, I finally convinced her to try a DE. A couple of months in to her using one, out of the blue, she say, "You were right..." I was driving, we almost died... No big deal. I asked, "about what?" She said, "Using a safety razor. Don't let it go to you head."

my SWMBO apparently had a near death experience with a safety razor once so i know i won't be able to convince her. Congratulations!

    Gentlemen,

As it happens, my younger daughter and her family live next door. Couple years back I set her up with a DE and trained her. Her razor has the small Merkur 15C handle matched to the Edwin Jagger shave head. I have promised her a lifetime supply of DE blades — the Polsilver is her favorite.

The dearly beloved likes the Gillette SharpEdge "yellow" blades. I even load and unload the dearly beloved's razor, clean it for her and put it in the stand. She is spoiled — but well deserved.
